Alijah Martin is recognized as one of the nation's top 10 shootnig guards.

Florida graduate guard Alijah Martin has earned a spot on the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year midseason watch list, which features 10 players, as announced Tuesday by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Martin, who transferred from Florida Atlantic, is averaging 15.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, along with 50 made three-pointers. He has posted 17 double-digit scoring games this season, highlighted by three 20-point performances and a standout 32-point effort against Southern Illinois. In that contest, Martin tied the O’Connell Center record with eight three-pointers, while his 32 points equaled his career best.

The native of Summit, Mississippi, recorded a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds in a neutral-site victory over Arizona State. He also scored 18 points in the home win against Tennessee, helping the Gators secure their first-ever regular season victory against a No. 1-ranked opponent. Over the course of the season, Martin has led Florida in scoring six times, rebounding four times, and assists four times. Notably, Martin and the Gators have already faced—and defeated—four of the other nine players included on the watch list.

Tickets are available for the Gators' remaining two home midweek contests:

Tuesday's game vs. Vanderbilt is set for 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.
