
Florida celebrates their second buzzer beater win of 2025, upsetting the No. 2 seeded UNLV Rebels in the 2025 WBIT.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Florida Gators pulled off a thrilling 86–84 victory over UNLV, punching their ticket to the 2025 WBIT quarterfinals. Despite trailing the Rebels for more than 33 minutes on Sunday night, the game was decided at the buzzer when Kenza Salgues sank the decisive jumper.
Florida delivered its best three-point shooting performance of the season, knocking down 14 triples at a blistering 56% clip. Jeriah Warren was especially sharp from deep, connecting on 6-of-9 attempts to finish with 21 points. Liv McGill paced the offense overall, leading the team with 22 points, while three other Gators also reached double figures.
On the defensive side, Alexia Gassett and Ra Shaya Kyle anchored the effort with seven rebounds apiece. McGill added six boards of her own and came up big with four steals. Collectively, the Gators edged UNLV on the glass, 37–35, to seal the hard-fought road win.
