Alex Condon is one of four Gators recognized on Naismith Starting 5 preseason watch lists.
Florida men’s basketball junior Alex Condon has earned a spot on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Top 20 Preseason List, as announced Friday by the Basketball Hall of Fame. The Abdul-Jabbar Award is one of the Naismith Starting 5 positional honors.
He joins three teammates who were also named preseason Naismith Starting 5 honorees earlier this year: Boogie Fland (Bob Cousy Award), Xaivian Lee (Jerry West Award), and Thomas Haugh (Karl Malone Award). Since its inception in 2015, the Abdul-Jabbar Award has recognized the nation’s top centers, and Condon becomes the first Gator to appear on its watch list since Colin Castleton (2022-23).

The All Gators Weekend Pack is currently on sale and includes admission to the Florida men’s basketball game vs. Merrimack on Friday, November 21, along with the Florida football game vs. Tennessee on Saturday, November 22, for $149 plus applicable taxes and fees.
