Gator Bites: Voices from the Win Over Auburn
Head Coach Kelly Rae Finley on Gator Nation and Defensive Execution
"First of all, thank you to everybody who tuned in tonight. Think we're going on about 11 o'clock so thank you to Gator Nation and everybody that was able to stay up to watch us play. I was really pleased with our second half defense. I thought that might have been some of our better second half defense all season. The challenge at halftime was, are we going to be able to sustain that and communicate on the other end of the floor, and I thought we did that exceptionally well."
Coach Kelly Rae Finley on Team Chemistry and Growth
"You know, some people had very good individual performances, but most importantly, we're our best when we play together as a team and you can just see the chemistry together on the court. We have continued to improve all the way to March and as a Coach, that's something that we're very proud of."
Senior Ra Shaya Kyle on Her Mindset and Team Support
"My teammates trusted me to keep giving me the ball and I trusted them to find me. I would just say my mindset was keep going at them [Auburn] the whole time. And they were giving me confidence, my coaches were giving me confidence. Yeah. Just keep going at them."
