Freshman Liv McGill currently leads UF in scoring with 16.4 ppg and stands in the SEC's top 15 for scoring, assists, steals, and free throw percentage.

GAINESVILLE, Fla.— Florida’s Liv McGill has earned a spot as a semifinalist for the World Exposure Report’s Freshman of the Year award, joining nine other standout first-year NCAA athletes in this recognition.


McGill stands alone as the only freshman nationwide to record a triple-double this season and currently leads all freshmen in assists. She averages 5.4 assists per game, totaling 129 so far.


Offensively, McGill leads the Gators with 16.4 points per game and ranks among the top 15 scorers in the SEC. She’s reached double-digit scoring in 22 of Florida’s 24 contests, including 10 games with 20 or more points. Her season-best performance came on November 22, 2024, when she scored 28 points against Florida State.


In the SEC’s latest statistical rankings, McGill appears in multiple categories: No. 13 in scoring, No. 4 in assists, No. 13 in free throw percentage, and No. 14 in steals.

The list of finalists for the World Exposure Report’s Freshman of the Year award will be revealed on March 3, while the winners will be announced on April 1, 2025 during the Final Four in Tampa.
