Thomas Haugh Named to Karl Malone Award Watch List

Thomas Haugh is the first Gator since Dorian Finney-Smith to make the Karl Malone Award watch list.

Florida men’s basketball junior Thomas Haugh has been selected to the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Top 20 Preseason List, as announced Thursday by the Basketball Hall of Fame. The Malone Award is one of the Naismith Starting 5 positional honors.

Haugh contributed 9.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game as Florida’s sixth man during the Gators’ 2025 national championship run. He recorded four double-doubles, led the team in rebounding on eight occasions, and was the only player to score in all 40 games last season. The New Oxford, Pa., native earned a spot on the 2025 NCAA West Region All-Tournament Team after delivering 20 points and 11 rebounds in Florida’s Elite Eight victory over Texas Tech. Heading into the 2025-26 season, he has also been recognized with preseason second-team All-SEC honors by media vote.

Haugh joins teammates Boogie Fland (Bob Cousy Award) and Xaivian Lee (Jerry West Award) as fellow preseason Naismith Starting 5 honorees. First presented in 2015, the Malone Award now features Haugh as the first Gator named to its watch list since Dorian Finney-Smith (2015-16).

Arena Pass

Arena Passes are also officially SOLD OUT for the 2025-26 season.

Single Games

Single-game tickets during the 2025-26 Florida men’s basketball season are now available.

Fans can purchase tickets through FloridaGators.com, by calling the Gator Ticket Office at (352) 375-4683, or by visiting Gate 2 on the west side of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

All Gators Weekend Pack

The All Gators Weekend Pack is currently on sale. This package includes admission to the Florida men’s basketball game against Merrimack on Friday, November 21, along with the Florida football game against Tennessee on Saturday, November 22, for $149 plus taxes and fees.

All fans attending the Merrimack men’s basketball game will also receive a 2025 NCAA National Championship replica ring, presented by Meldon Law.
