Alijah Martin earned NABC All-District honors, along with Walter Clayton Jr. and Alex Condon.
Three members of Florida’s men’s basketball program earned All-District honors in the Southeast region, as announced Tuesday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Senior guard Walter Clayton Jr. and sophomore forward/center Alex Condon were selected to the first team, while graduate guard Alijah Martin was named to the second team.
These individual awards come on the heels of team success, with the Gators reaching 30 wins and claiming the SEC Tournament championship as they prepare for NCAA Tournament play on Saturday.
Clayton leads Florida in scoring (17.5 points per game), assists (143), and three-pointers made (97). Condon tops the roster in rebounds (7.9 per game) and blocks (44), while also contributing 11.2 points per contest. Martin, recognized for his defensive ability, averages 14.5 points, adds 75 assists, 69 three-pointers, and has recorded 52 steals.
A native of Lake Wales, Fla., Clayton was named SEC Tournament MVP after averaging 20.7 points and hitting 50 percent of his three-point attempts during Florida’s three victories in Nashville. He also earned first-team All-SEC honors from the coaches, Associated Press, and USA Today.
Condon, from Perth, Australia, previously collected All-SEC honors with a second-team nod from USA Today and third-team recognition from the coaches. Martin, originally from Summit, Miss., secured a spot on the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year top 10 list in his debut season with Florida.
This marks the second consecutive year Florida has had multiple NABC All-District honorees. Clayton and Zyon Pullin were second-team selections in 2024. The three honorees this season represent the program’s largest group since 2006–07, when Corey Brewer, Taurean Green, Al Horford, and Joakim Noah were recognized.
The NABC also introduced a new Division I district alignment this year, organizing schools by state rather than conference. The modernized NABC Division I district alignment features 10 geographic regions, each covering multiple states, with every Division I program placed in its corresponding state district.
