Alex Condon picked up preseason first-team All-SEC honors in the league's media poll.

Florida men’s basketball has been chosen by the media as the preseason favorite in the Southeastern Conference, with Alex Condon, Thomas Haugh, and Boogie Fland each earning preseason All-SEC recognition.

Condon, the Gators’ leading returning scorer from last year, was selected to the first-team All-SEC list, while Thomas Haugh and Boogie Fland both secured second-team honors. The preseason poll was determined by a panel of SEC and national media representatives.

This marks only the third occasion since the SEC preseason poll began in 1989 that UF has been picked as the preseason frontrunner, previously earning the distinction in 2006-07 and 2010-11. Florida went on to capture the SEC championship in both of those seasons.

The 2025-26 season tips off Monday, Nov. 3, with conference play beginning Saturday, Jan. 3. The SEC Tournament is scheduled for March 11-15 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
