Micah Handlogten will return to his home state as the Gators visit Duke for the 2025 ACC-SEC Challenge.
The defending national champion Florida men's basketball team is set to travel to Duke for the ACC–SEC Challenge on Tuesday, Dec. 2, as announced by ESPN.
This will be the first meeting between Florida and Duke since their clash in the Phil Knight Invitational title game in Portland, Oregon, back in November 2017. It also marks Florida’s first trip to Durham since 1998. The Gators’ most recent win in the series came during the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2000, when they defeated a No. 1-ranked Duke squad en route to their first national championship game appearance. While Florida trails the overall series 4–14, only seven of those matchups have occurred in the past 55 years, with Florida going 2–5 in that span.
Beyond the ACC–SEC Challenge, Florida’s nonconference slate includes high-profile matchups against Arizona in Las Vegas and UConn in New York, as well as a Thanksgiving tournament in San Diego featuring Providence, TCU, and Wisconsin.
