
TORONTO, Canada — Canada Basketball has revealed its 12-player roster for the 2025 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup, with Nyadieng Yiech, an incoming freshman at Florida, earning a spot after participating in training sessions at Humber College in Toronto from June 22–28.
Yiech joins a talented group representing Canada: Jasmine Bascoe, Mila Holloway, Avery Howell, Olivia Leung, Agot Makeer, Brooke McLeod, Ify Nwaobi, Rachael Okokoh, Cearah Parchment, Syla Swords, Marie Grace Talle, and Nyadieng Yiech.
The team will be coached by Marlo Davis, who returns after guiding Canada to a silver medal at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women's AmeriCup.
Canada opens tournament play in Brno, Czechia, starting with a matchup against Portugal on July 12 at 8:30 a.m. ET. They’ll face Nigeria on July 13 at 5:45 a.m. ET, and wrap up group play against China on July 15 at 5:45 a.m. ET. The round of 16 is scheduled for July 16, with matchups and times to be determined.
The FIBA U19 Women's World Cup brings together the top 16 national teams in the age group, each earning qualification through their performance in the prior year’s U18 zone championships.
