BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced Wednesday that sophomore guard Liv McGill has been selected to the 2025–26 Preseason All‑SEC Second Team.

McGill made an immediate impact during her freshman campaign, emerging as a vital contributor in the starting lineup. She led the Gators in scoring with an average of 16.5 points per game and set a program record for most points in a freshman season with 611. Her performance helped Florida reach the Quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. She was honored on the 2025 SEC All‑Freshman Team and earned a spot on the WBIT All‑Tournament Team after guiding the Gators to the Semifinals.

The Minneapolis native will look to build on that success as Florida begins its 2025–26 season on Nov. 3, hosting North Florida at Exactech Arena inside the Stephen C. O’Connell Center at 7 p.m.
