McGill on the Move: Gators Guard Heads to USA U19 Trials

Florida's Liv McGill will return to the national stage at Basketball USA's training facility. McGill will compete for a spot on the U19 national team after winning the gold medal on the U18 roster last summer.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. – USA Basketball has revealed its 27-player lineup for the upcoming 2025 Women's U19 National Team trials, with Florida's Liv McGill earning a spot among the invitees.


The trials are scheduled to begin on June 18 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. After evaluations, 12 athletes will be chosen to form the final roster. That team will represent the U.S. at the 2025 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup in Brno, Czechia, taking place from July 12–20.


Coaching the squad will be Teri Moren of Indiana University, joined by assistant coaches Niele Ivey (University of Notre Dame) and Jose Fernandez (University of South Florida).

Trial participants include athletes from the high school graduating classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028, along with incoming college freshmen and sophomores. Selections for both players and coaches were made by the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team Committee.
