The collective 3.42 GPA by UF student-athletes is an all-time high, replacing the 3.39 GPA set in fall of 2024.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida student-athletes delivered a record-setting academic performance this spring, with both individual and team GPAs reaching new heights.


For the fourth straight semester, over 400 Gators earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher—435 in fall 2024, 413 in spring 2024, and 401 in fall 2023. Eighteen athletic programs maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better across both the fall 2024 and spring 2025 terms.


The overall GPA for Florida’s student-athletes hit an all-time high of 3.42, surpassing the previous record of 3.39 set in fall 2024.


Beyond academics, The Gators Experience program saw all 21 sports contribute 2,466 hours of community service through 203 volunteer events supporting 43 organizations during the 2024–25 year.

Gators Classroom Success: Spring 2025 Highlights

Florida student-athletes continued their academic momentum this spring, setting new GPA benchmarks across multiple programs.


Record-Setting Team GPAs Five programs set or matched their highest-ever team GPAs:

  • Baseball – 3.26
  • Football – 3.48
  • Gymnastics – 3.73
  • Lacrosse – 3.67
  • Men’s Track & Field – 3.08


Top Cumulative GPA Leaders The fall 2024 academic leaders maintained their edge through spring 2025:

  • Men’s Cross Country – 3.51 spring | 3.55 cumulative
  • Women’s Gymnastics – 3.73 spring | 3.72 cumulative


Semester Snapshot

  • 18 programs earned a 3.0+ GPA for spring 2025
  • 18 programs maintained a 3.0+ cumulative GPA
  • Male Student-Athletes – 3.35 term GPA | 3.31 cumulative
  • Female Student-Athletes – 3.51 term GPA | 3.48 cumulative (new record)
  • 54 Gators achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA this spring
