Florida's starting five -- (L-R) Rueben Chinyelu, Alex Condon, Will Richard, Alijah Martin and Walter Clayton Jr. -- will all have the opportunity to compete in the NBA's pre-draft process.
All five starters from Florida’s national championship men’s basketball squad are set to take part in either the NBA Draft Combine or the NBA G League Elite Camp in Chicago, with events kicking off Friday.
Walter Clayton Jr., Alex Condon and Alijah Martin earned invitations to the NBA Draft Combine, scheduled for May 11–18. Meanwhile, Will Richard and Rueben Chinyelu will participate in the NBA G League Elite Camp from May 9–11. Standout performers from the NBA G League Elite Camp may be selected to join the NBA Draft Combine.
Both events will be held at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The G League Elite Camp features five-on-five competition along with strength and agility assessments. Florida joins Duke and Arkansas as one of only three programs with at least three players invited to the NBA Draft Combine.
Clayton, Martin, and Richard wrapped up their collegiate careers this past season. Condon and Chinyelu, both rising juniors, retain the option to return to Florida. The NCAA’s deadline to withdraw from the NBA Draft is Wednesday, May 28, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The NBA Draft will take place June 25–26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
