Florida's rising junior, Laila Reynolds, will attend the 2025 SEC Leadership Council events and represent the University of Florida.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Five student-athletes from the University of Florida will participate in this year’s SEC Leadership Council meetings, with Laila Reynolds selected to represent the Gators in Atlanta on July 17–18.

Reynolds will be joined by fellow Florida representatives AJ Brown, Hayden Hansen, Jayden Emmanuel, and Jocelyn Erickson, alongside peers from all 16 SEC member institutions.

Participants include members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the Football Leadership Council, and the Men's and Women's Basketball Leadership Councils. MSU’s SAAC representative for the event is Warren.

The SEC Student-Athlete Leadership Council serves as a platform for student-athletes to engage with campus administrators and conference staff. These councils act as a communication bridge to the SEC office on matters related to athlete experience, wellness, and playing rules.

During the two-day gathering, attendees will meet with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey to explore topics such as conference governance, legislative updates, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) developments. They’ll also hear from SEC Chief Medical Officer Catherine O’Neal on athlete safety initiatives and sport psychology protocols. Breakout sessions tailored to each leadership group will round out the event.
